UNIQLO’s branded mosaics take over Pinterest

As well as turning out affordable style staples for any right-thinking modern man, UNIQLO appears to have come up with a novel way to wake Pinterest users from a potential scrolling slumber.

With the help of NYC based digital agency Firstborn, UNIQLO created 100 separate shell Pinterest accounts that pinned images simultaneously which combined to create giant mosaics that “animated” when users scrolled through their favourite categories. Very clever stuff. I especially like that it was achieved through an endearing combination of high and low-tech DIY enthusiasm, Michel Gondry style.

It’s the best bit of branded activity I’ve seen yet on Pinterest.
